Coast

I’ve always been drawn to the hills but, more and more, I’m finding myself attracted to shores and seascapes, particularly harbours and piers. When we think of the coast, we may imagine big crashing waves from the Atlantic, Irish or North Seas on high dangerous cliffs, with screeching gulls and kittiwakes! However, there are also the quieter shores with the gentle sounds of the oystercatcher, curlew and lapwing.
