Morecambe Bay

The amazing Morecambe Bay, with its ever changing big dramatic skies, is a photographer’s dream! With saltmarshes, sands and mudflats, Morecambe Bay is an important wildlife site, with diverse marine habitats and abundant bird life including the curlew with its haunting and evocative call. It can also be a dangerous place with quicksands and fast rising tides. The best way to experience the bay is a cross bay walk with the King’s Guide to the Sands.
